Wil K. Yamamoto
Mr. Yamamoto concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and construction litigation, and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of commercial disputes, including contract, real estate and land use, business organization, construction defect, mechanic’s lien, landlord-tenant, and class action litigation. Mr. Yamamoto has represented a variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to small businesses, condominium associations, and private individuals in a variety of legal matters.
While in law school, Mr. Yamamoto was a member of the University of Hawaii Law Review, Production Editor of the Asian-Pacific Law & Policy Journal, President of the Pacific-Asian Law Student Organization, and received the CALI Excellence Award in International Business Transactions. As a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Team, Mr. Yamamoto also received several oral and writing awards, winning the 2002 Regional Competition and competed in the National and International competitions in 2002, winning the best brief award.

Commercial Litigation. Representation of companies dealing with disputes related to contract, business operations, shareholder claims (direct and derivative), misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices.
Construction Litigation. Representation of a large hotel corporation involving commercial and construction related claims (mold litigation) valued at over $50 million. Representation of a condominium association in successfully resolving construction defects claims. Representation of multi-billion dollar companies (large chain store operations) in resolving construction (structural and design related) and contract related disputes. Litigating mechanic’s liens on behalf of owners, architects, general contractors and subcontractors.
Real Estate Litigation. Representation of companies dealing with disputes related to real estate transactions, land use, zoning board appeals, and landlord-tenant disputes.
Class Action Litigation. Assisted in the defense of class action claims on behalf of companies transacting business nationally.
