Christopher R. Ford
Mr. Ford focuses his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on appeals and motions practice. He has extensive experience in federal preemption, consumer products litigation, antitrust litigation and insurance matters. He is admitted to the Hawaii, District of Columbia, and Virginia Bars, and earned his Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School graduating with High Honors and election to Order of the Coif.
Prior to joining Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher, Mr. Ford was a litigation associate in the Washington D.C. office of an AmLaw 25 law firm, where he was a member of the Supreme Court and Appellate Practice Group. Mr. Ford gained extensive practice before state and federal trial courts, appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Ford’s notable representations include acting as lead associate for dispositive motions practice in a national, multi-jurisdictional matter involving federal preemption of medical device-related torts.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Ford served as Law Clerk to The Honorable G. Steven Agee, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
