Trevor A. Brown has acted as special counsel to provide legal opinions in complex financing transactions. He served as a Co-Reporter for the Opinion Committee of the Real Property and Financial Services Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association. The Committee’s Hawaii 2000 Report on Lawyers Opinion Letters in Mortgage Loan Transactions, 22 U. Haw. L. Rev. 347 (2000), established the standard of practice in Hawaii. Mr. Brown remains active in a bar committee on these issues. Mr. Brown has represented clients in acquiring notes and mortgages as a means of obtaining control of real property assets (golf courses, undeveloped land, and residential properties) and then obtaining control of the assets through enforcement of the debt instruments. Mr. Brown has been named a “Lawyer of the Year” in Honolulu by The Best Lawyers in America©, in the practice area of Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law.

Duane R. Fisher practices in real estate, hotel and resorts, business structure and operations and commercial transactions. He has represented a wide range of business organizations, from hotel owners, telecommunications companies, general contractors, Wall Street investment firms and multibillion dollar energy development companies to closely held corporations and sole proprietors, in both private transactions and before federal and state administrative agencies.

Sharon V. Lovejoy represents clients in a wide variety of litigation matters with primary focus in commercial, real estate and business litigation. Ms. Lovejoy has been named a “Lawyer of the Year” in Honolulu by The Best Lawyers in America©, in the practice area of Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law, and works closely with firm transactional attorneys.
